Ark Continuity Limited joins forces with Intellect's Data Centre Group
Steve Webb, Chief Operating Officer of Ark Continuity Limited has joined Intellect's Data Centres Group to represent Ark's interest in this thought leading collective.
Intellect have brought together like minded individuals from across the IT Industry and UK's data centre operators to enable the articulation of a cohesive pan-industry voice, communicate concerns and represent the sector's interests to all stakeholders with greater effectiveness.
Steve Webb remarked "Ark is pleased to be a member of Intellect and I look forward to demonstrating our commitment to the issues and initiatives the Data Centre Group discuss over the coming months. Intellect is extremely forward thinking in their approach to many of the topics affecting the technology industry, especially data centres, and I believe we can add a significant contribution from the sustainability stand point bearing in mind all we have discovered whilst developing one of Europe's lowest carbon data centres."
Intellect's Data Centre Group has already addressed subjects including the Carbon Reduction Commitment, the G-Cloud and CRC Update. It has also produced a report entitled "Data Centres: The backbone of the UK economy."

About ARK Continuity
Ark Continuity Limited was incorporated in December 2005 following the acquisition of the freehold interest in Spring Park, Corsham and assets and goodwill of Corsham Media Park Limited.
Jeffrey Thomas, the owner of Hartham Park, Corsham and CEO of Ark Continuity Limited, founded Corsham Media Park Limited in 1999 in response to an invitation by the North Wiltshire District Council to partner in the creation of a media park to support an emerging community of media companies in the South West.
The first data centre was built in 2002 for a major UK mobile network and their partners. From here they deploy communications gateways, cross platform exchanges, process data and store devises to support the ever growing mobile data sector.
Ark specialise in the design, build and operation of high integrity data centres, developed to deliver optimum security and availability with the highest levels of sustainability; from the ground up.
Delivering security
Ark delivers comprehensive risk based, multi-layered, security regimes accredited to ISO 27001 and JSP 440 (controls). These include 24 x 7 guarding, monitoring and management from onsite command centres.
Delivering availability
Ark achieves the highest standards in availability and is accredited to BS 25999. Rigorous engineering and leading technology combined with modular, predictable and scalable infrastructures deliver choice of resilience, power density and energy configurations to meet occupiers requirements.
Delivering sustainability
Ark, accredited to ISO 14001, deliver sustainability from the ground up; from design, build, energy sources, use and waste, to operations and end of life, Ark actively seeks to minimise the impact to the environment whilst promoting social responsibility and delivering the best economic outcome.
The team of industry professionals have over 100 years of experience in mission critical engineering between them and have delivered on projects across the UK, Europe and USA.
Ark has headquarters at Hartham Park, an executive business park based in a listed Grade 2 Georgian Mansion House surrounded by 50 acres of parkland, and situated just a few miles from Spring Park. Ark also has operational offices in Balderton Street, London.
