Ark Continuity Limited sponsor Government ICT Goes Green 2010
Ark Continuity, a leading developer of high integrity data centres, today announced their sponsorship of GovNets Government ICT Goes Green Conference, to be held at the QEII Conference Centre on 16th September 2010.
Jeffrey Thomas, CEO of Ark Continuity Limited said "Ark are aligned with the UK governments' commitment to reduce the environmental impact of ICT by ensuring improvements in energy efficiency and reduction in greenhouse gas emissions; in particular focusing on the UK CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme and the EU Code of Conduct on Data Centre Energy Efficiency."
"We are proud to sponsor the Government ICT Goes Green Conference which we consider has parallels our own philosophy of low carbon data centres without compromise, our proposition affords occupiers the opportunity to embrace best practice and sustainable principles in the design, construction, engineering and operation of their data centres."
Pip Squire, Ark's Engineering and Project Director will present a thought leadership plenary session on the entire life cycle of a facility (from design to decommission) and how using Business Continuity Management and Environmental Management will continuously drive improvements.
Ark's structured methodology combined with proven and rigorous engineering results in highly modular architectures that are scalable, multi tiered, rapidly deployed, highly efficient and, above all, low carbon. The results of this philosophy can be demonstrated by Spring Park Data Centre Campus in Wiltshire, which has been operational since last year.
Ark's unique data centre model offers all the benefits of owner occupation - discrete space and dedicated infrastructure - but on an outsourced, modular basis. Customers have the security of their own technical space and infrastructure, while allowing them to expand as their requirements grow; moving the investment from capital expenditure to operating expenses.
Ark recognises and understand the central role that mission critical data centre facilities play in the delivery of organisational brand values and customer experience. Ark has assembled the engineering, financial and human resources required to deliver mission critical data centre facilities.
